How ironic! That my last post was about a trip to Threads Of Time in Danville, IL. It's a quilt store and retreat center all in one. Ruthie Wasmuth and MaryAnn Spitznagle were my quilting friends this weekend. I finished the Red Delicious top, hemmed 4 pair of jeans, and added a corner block and setting triangles to a beautiful nine patch queen size quilt that I purchased on Ebay. I also did some pressing of my Four Patch Posey blocks. I worked on my primitive hand applique bird blocks. I now have 31 finished.
We went to Montana Mike's for dinner one night, made white chicken chilli for lunch, and went to a nice Mexican restaurant our last night. (Can't remember the name). All three of us accomplished a lot. We always have a great time together and this trip was no exception. Now I have to figure out how to get pictures from my iPad and iPhone to this blog. So you can see pictures of the above mentioned. Until next time be healthy, safe, and pay it forward to someone.

The Quilter's Nest
The Quilter's Nest is a quilt store in Evansville, IN. It is nice and has a large array of nice fabric and lots of store samples hanging everywhere.
I went yesterday and did hand work in the class room while other ladies sewed on sewing machines. I finished one more primitive applique basket and a small redwork piece. I was at the nest for around a couple hours. The co-owners are just as nice as can be.
I finished another basket last night, so I have a total of 70 done. My goal is 100.The baskets are done on point. Debra Kerns taught me how to make them and gave me her pattern.
I am in Evansville at the Fairfield, Marriot with Randy. He is working in Mt.Vernon for six months.
Tomorrow is our 21st wedding anniversary. Wow!! How time flies.I brought my sewing machine and a number of projects to work on while I'm here.
Tonight, at Commom Threads, they are having a fund raising auction. It is the guilds main fund raiser every two years. I gave money to Ruthie to bid on items for me. I wonder what we'll win?

A Road Trip to Kentucky
We are going to Kentucky to visit Toby, Ashley, Krayden and Maddox. We miss them alot, so it will be good to see them and hang out.
Quilting on Delicious
Delicious is the name of my long arm quilting machine. Last night Ruthie, from Ruthie's Quilting came to my house to give me a lesson and refresher course. I quilted a baby quilt and a wall hanging. I decided that I will think of Delicious as a big sewing machine and not something big and intimidating. So far it's working. Thank you Ruthie!

Crocheting dish cloths
I have crocheted quite a number of dishcloths over the past few months. I rather enjoy it. I'm making them for Christmas gifts.I have a nice stack of them finished, I think I'm going to work on a project called "Dipped In Chocolate". They are half sqaure triangles in double pinks, browns, gold ,reds, really cute.I'll have to tell you who wrote the pattern later.
I have to figure out how to put pictures on here again.

California
I have been in West Covina, CA for fifteen days. Randy has been here working on a project in West Covina and Indianapolis since March. We have been trying different restaurants in the area every night. Did you know that Marie Calendar has a restaurant and bakery? Its very good>
I have crocheted three dish cloths and started a fourth. I have worked on some English paper piecing while being away from home. I bought the paper piecing supplies from Connecting Threads. Tumbler blocks and hexagons. It is a take along project. Almost every quilter I know has started or wants to start a Grandmothers Flower Garden.
I grew up in in Hemet, California. We went to visit last weekend. It is in Southern CA and the road I lived on is even more rural now than it was 40 years ago.
Wednesday night we went to The Sew N Sew Quilt and Brother Store in Glendora, CA. It is a cute little shop that has been there for a year. Of course, I found a few fat quarters. If you are ever able to visit you will like it and the shops around it.
I have been listening to books on my IPOD. I buy most of my books from Audible.com I can listen while I do handwork.
We leave to fly home in the morning and will be back in Indiana around midnight or so.

Projects done at Threads of time
I finished a few things and discovered that I don't much care for making pineapple blocks.
The fruit quilt (twin size) top is done, the camping quilt is ready for borders, and I finished two camping pillow cases to go with it. What a relaxing weekend. We brought most of our food and when out to eat only on Friday night. We went to Montana Mike Steak House. It was delicious as always. We had White Chicken Chilli on Saturday and left for home on Sunday. It's only an hour from Lafayette to Danville, IL. Not a bad ride at all.
Until next time!
